Level up means upgrading the correct visible layer
The Journal can show a current-run Hand objective and tool upgrades, while Lobby upgrades stay separate; do not treat them as one Player Level, Account Level, or XP bar. When the Journal says Upgrade your hand (0/1), open the current run's Journal, choose Upgrades, stay in the HAND column, select a visible Hold, Dexterity, or Grasp option you can afford, press BUY once, then verify a Hand-state, cash, success-message, or objective change.
Level Up

Before leaving: Pro Game Guides reports that leaving resets round completion progress (checked Sep 9, 2026). You may have to start the round again; this is not a guaranteed fix. Buying a Lobby upgrade, Bag, Rake, or Leaf Blower does not by itself complete the Hand objective. Prices and available choices can differ by account and run. Use the current displayed price, and stop repeated spending if the Hand screen and objective do not change after checking the current price and balance. Only consider one new server if you are willing to restart the round; stop if the same problem remains.
Before you follow the route
Use the live HUD and the visible result after each step before moving to the next one.
01
Confirm the objective and upgrade layer
Do this
The Journal can show a current-run Hand objective and tool upgrades, while Lobby upgrades stay separate; do not treat them as one Player Level, Account Level, or XP bar. Proceed only when the live objective is Upgrade your hand.
You should see
You are in the current run's HAND upgrade screen, not the Lobby or a tool purchase point.
02
Buy one visible Hand upgrade
Do this
When the Journal says Upgrade your hand (0/1), open the current run's Journal, choose Upgrades, stay in the HAND column, select a visible Hold, Dexterity, or Grasp option you can afford, press BUY once, then verify a Hand-state, cash, success-message, or objective change.
You should see
At least one visible Hand, cash, success, or objective signal changes.
If it differs
Use the current displayed price; do not assume one option is always best.
